Our Story

It all began at the age of 14 – with a pinball machine that wasn't actually for sale.

I had set my mind on owning my very first pinball machine, and eventually found one in pieces at an operator who initially didn't want to sell it at all. After some negotiating it was finally mine – and a childhood passion turned into a collection that kept growing from then on.

Passion becomes a name

What started as a hobby became serious in the early 2000s: pinballKing was born. The collector became a dealer, and individual pinball machines grew into an expanding range of amusement machines. In 2014, German public broadcaster WDR even featured me as a "pinball collector" on its regional programme Lokalzeit Münsterland – a nice proof that genuine passion can turn into something bigger.

From collector to professional

In 2017 I made a deliberate decision that advanced me enormously on a professional level: I joined my supplier and worked there as a product manager and technician for amusement machines – with a portfolio of around 250 different machines. Those years gave me deep technical know-how, direct contact with the industry's major manufacturers and a network we still benefit from today.

A loss – and a new beginning

In 2024, the sudden death of my boss hit me deeply – and brought back to the surface a thought that had been with me for years: to bring pinballKing back to life. Not out of nostalgia, but as a fresh start with everything I had learned in the years in between.
